Eggnog Sauce


If you like eggnog you will LOVE this sauce!  Make it and just put it on something, anything, this week!  Its so creamy and sweet with that distinct eggnog flavor.  Bring your Christmas breakfast to the next level by pouring this over french toast, pancakes, or bread pudding!  Look like the star at your Christmas dessert by ladling this over ice cream or cake! Yummmm!

1 1/2 tbsp flour
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup eggnog

Yields 1 cup of sauce

In a small sauce pan, off the heat, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt to combine.  

Turn the heat on very low, and while whisking, slowly pour in the eggnog.   

Stirring often, cook for 6-8 minutes until thickened.  The flame should be low enough so that the eggnog doesn’t boil.   

Its ready!  Serve warm, or allow to cool then store in the fridge in a container.  The sauce can be microwaved to be reheated.  Enjoy!
